SMS/MMS Messaging Policy

This Messaging Policy describes how BoomtownTrades LLC ("BoomtownTrades," "we," "us") uses SMS and MMS messaging as part of our portfolio publishing service, and your rights regarding these messages.

1. How We Use SMS/MMS Messaging

BoomtownTrades uses SMS/MMS messaging for the following purposes:

1.1 Inbound MMS (You → BoomtownTrades)

The core function of our Service is receiving MMS photo messages from registered contractors. When you text a photo to your dedicated BoomtownTrades phone number, our system:

• Validates the sender phone number against your registered account.
• Processes and optimizes the photo.
• Publishes the photo to your public portfolio page.
• Stores the photo securely in cloud storage.

1.2 Outbound SMS/MMS (BoomtownTrades → You)

We may send you the following types of messages:

• Photo Confirmations: A reply confirming your photo was successfully published.
• Account Notifications: Subscription status changes, payment confirmations, or account alerts.
• Welcome Messages: An initial message after account creation with setup instructions.
• Service Updates: Important changes to the Service that affect your account.

2. Opt-In Consent

By signing up for a BoomtownTrades account and providing your phone number, you expressly consent to:

• Receiving transactional SMS/MMS messages from BoomtownTrades at the phone number you provided.
• Having your inbound MMS photos processed and published to your portfolio page.

Consent is given at the time of account registration. You must affirmatively agree to these terms during the signup process. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services, and you may opt out at any time.

3. Opt-Out Instructions

Upon opting out:

• You will receive a final confirmation message: "You have been opted out of BoomtownTrades messages. Reply START to re-subscribe."
• No further messages will be sent to your number.
• Your existing portfolio page will remain live unless you also request account deletion.
• You will no longer be able to submit photos via MMS until you re-subscribe.

4. Opt Back In

To resume receiving messages after opting out, text START to your BoomtownTrades phone number, or contact us at support@boomtowntrades.com.

5. Help

Text HELP to your BoomtownTrades phone number at any time to receive a help message with contact information and opt-out instructions.

6. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your usage:

• Photo confirmations: One message per photo you send (you control the frequency).
• Account notifications: Typically 1–3 messages per month.
• Welcome message: One time, at account creation.

We estimate the average user will receive fewer than 10 messages per month.

7. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply to messages sent to and from BoomtownTrades, depending on your mobile carrier plan. BoomtownTrades is not responsible for any charges incurred from your mobile carrier.

8. Supported Carriers

Our messaging service works with all major U.S. carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and their MVNOs. Carrier support for MMS may vary.

9. Privacy

Your phone number and message data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
